We're looking for a Planner / Scheduler proficient with P6 to join Queensland Rails Possessions Team.
**Role duration**: 6 months.
Who are the “The Possessions Team”? This team works within Major Projects Integration (MPI) and facilitate programs of work for major projects such as Cross River Rail, working in the rail corridor, by liaising with the contractors and delivery teams to provide access and supervision to works required through scheduled corridor possessions.
The Possessions Team require a
**specialist scheduler** to perform the role of a Possessions Scheduler to develop, implement and resource-load a
**Primavera P6 schedule** to manage the corridor access works and to assist the team in prioritising work across the entire portfolio as well as identify potential areas of resource shortfalls ahead of time to allow mitigations to be put in place to ensure a successful possession program of work. This engagement is required to assist with possession planning, reporting and resource allocation for all projects managed by Major Projects Integration that require access to the rail corridor.
The Scope of Work and Responsibilities for this role are:
- Development of a robust schedule in P6 that includes all current and future possession works,
- Clearly identify the project, duration and delivery contractor within the program,
- Development of graphical reports and presentations on the possession schedule for various stakeholders including performance indicators,
- Presentation of reports to the Possessions Integration Manager, the GSM of PDP and other project stakeholders,
- Liaison and provision of support to project schedulers, delivery contractor possessions teams, project managers, the Corridor Access Unit to clarify possession planning requirements for the projects and to ensure the accuracy of data in the schedule,
- Updating of the Base Track Possession Schedule as directed,
- Advise the team and stakeholders of pending schedule conflicts or resourcing concerns,
- Attend SCAS (Scheduled Corridor Access System) and Non-SCAS planning meetings as required,
- Monitoring of performance against the schedule for works completed in the field,
- Identification of opportunities in the program for potential future works,
- Assist Possessions Team to resolve conflicts /interface issues associated with possession works.
The role will report to the Possessions Integration Manager and work within the Possessions area completing scheduling works for that team on a variety of projects.
The experience they’re looking for,
- Proficient with P6 having a minimum of 5 years' experience operating the software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Demonstrate good communication skills.
- Rail project experience would be beneficial along with an understanding of rail corridor possession requirements.
The
**location for the role will be** within the PDP team currently at
**Level 11, 295 Ann St Brisbane**. Working From Home (WFH) may be considered and negotiated after a period of time, once the role has been understood and successfully undertaken for a period of time in the office environment at 295 Ann St.
