**THE COMPANY**
Ora Banda Mining is a rapidly expanding gold exploration and production company operating the Davyhurst project 120km north west of Kalgoorlie. The project area holds significant regional exploration potential in a “District Scale” land holding comprised of over 200 tenements covering an area of 1,350km2 which contains more than 200 strike kilometer's of highly prospective greenstone belt.

**THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor the Trades Assistant is responsible for providing manual and maintenance support to the Maintenance team.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

- Ensure that all activities are carried out to the highest standard of safety in accordance with Company policies and workplace safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct pre-start meetings as required.
- Monitor safety inspections and action items to achieve deadlines.
- Actively promote safety.
- Operate manual hand tools and mobile equipment to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
- Provide Trades Assistant support to tradespersons including Fitters, Boilermakers and Electricians.
- Perform assigned tasks, operate equipment, work areas and targets to safely and efficiently achieve those targets.

**ABOUT YOU**
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

- HR license (essential)
- Forklift ticket (essential)
- Previous experience as a General Hand, Handyman or Trades Assistant
- Current WA manual driver’s license
- Previous mining experience
- Experience in a maintenance environment and working with hand tools and mobile equipment
- EWP and other high-risk certificates are desirable.

**ELIGIBILITY**:

- Due to the urgency of this role, only applicants residing in Perth will be considered.
- Must be able to provide a recent National Police Clearance Check.
