**ABOUT THE ROLE**
We are seeking Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in Western Sydney. You will provide support for people with a disability to live independently and maintain their best possible social wellbeing. You will support our customers to achieve their personal goals and to live satisfying lives in our community.
**KEY RESPONSIBLITIES**:
- Supporting our customers to achieve their goals
- Assisting our customers with daily personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, dressing, etc.
- Assisting with daily living activities including cleaning tasks to maintain living spaces, meal preparation, etc.
- Encouraging and assisting customers in the community including attending social activities, doctor's appointments, etc.
- Providing emotional support and building friendships
**ABOUT YOU**
You are a passionate and dedicated individual who is looking to make a difference in the community. As a people person, you pride yourself on exceptional customer service whilst ensuring customers achieve their goals and aspirations.
**Requirements**:
- Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of customers
- Experience working with customers with complex support needs (e.g., advanced osteoarthritis, lymphedema, etc.)
- Driven, compassionate, reliable & committed
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn
- Flexibility with shift times
- Shifts available Monday to Sunday (shift times are TBC)
- Additional shifts available with other clients in different locations
**WHAT YOU NEED**:
- Current driver's licence and vehicle (essential)
- Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screen (or ability to obtain one is essential)
- NDIS Module 1 (or willing to obtain)
- National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
