- New South Wales (NSW)**

**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a **State Area Manager** for our **NSW operations**, who will lead an established and successful multi-disciplinary team in Newcastle and be pivotal in taking the reins of our recently established Sydney office, growing our existing client base and taking NSW to the next stage of our business strategy. You be an integral part of the Australian Leadership Team (ALT) and lead the NSW team to sustainably and successfully grow our business and provide great career opportunities to our people and the delivery of high-quality projects to our clients.

**About YOU**

We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and driven executive business leader with substantial experience and successful track record in the environmental consulting sector (minimum of 15 years). Your specialised discipline can be from Planning and Approvals, Contaminated Land, Geotechnical or Ecology.

You will embrace working with a diverse team from a variety of disciplines at a range of experience levels. You will work among our leaders to support the delivery of the NSW plans and key initiatives. Importantly, as a key member of the ALT, you will connect with the wider Kleinfelder business to bring the best our company has to offer to our people and clients.

You are a confident influencer, have a talent for networking and building strong relationships, and be excited about the opportunity to grow Kleinfelder’s presence and influence in the NSW markets. You will possess a nurturing personality with a genuine understanding of how to connect, encourage and get the best from the team. You will be an advocate for our people, clients and brand, your engaging style is essential in this role. You will be excited to work on key challenges and opportunities across all environmental disciplinary lines, while working with a vast range of clients including all levels of government, infrastructure, transport, renewable energy, oil & gas, mineral resources, and a variety of private companies in other areas.

On the practical side, you will be responsible for the successful day to day operations of the NSW business. This will require you to work closely with your Team Leaders, HR, HSEQ, Marketing and Finance teams to develop and deliver a successful plan and budget for your state including P&L accountability, driving and tracking market growth and of course most importantly have a happy, safe, satisfied and cohesive team with a positive and supportive culture.
