**About the department**:
The Orthotic and Prosthetic Department has a strong focus on positive patient outcomes, professional development and effective practices, to deliver a high quality and timely service, both clinically and technically, to the inpatients and outpatients across Austin Health's three campuses and the community. We are actively involved in quality and education initiatives, and work with other Allied Health professionals to deliver a high standard of treatment across a large range of pathologies.
**About the role**:
As an Orthotist/Prosthetist at Austin Health you will provide evidence based clinical care to a designated patient group, and lead and inspire others in quality and excellence of patient-focused services.
A regular day will see you:
- **Provide clinical services and manage assessments, care planning and interventions**:
- **Demonstrate specialist knowledge related to clinical practice and provide high level consultation regarding clinical care issues to the multidisciplinary team**:
- **Act as a role model and contribute to a team environment which promotes a positive culture and the opportunity for learning and development**:
- **This position will predominently manage a inpatient orthotic clinical caseload including Vascular, Nuerosurgery and Orthopaedic conditions.**
**About you**:
You will be someone who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as an ability to prioritise competing demands and technical requirements. You’ll enjoy engaging and collaborating with others, and being actively involved in working within a team.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- **A Masters of Clinical Prosthetic and Orthotics (or Bachelor equivalent)**:
- **Eligibility for AOPA membership with certification as an Orthotist / Prosthetist via CPD program fulfilment**:
- **Knowledge and clinical practice experience in orthotic / prosthetic management**:
