**About Pathology Collection Department**
- Austin Health Pathology provides services to not only Austin Health and the co-located Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg, but also to numerous GPs and specialists in the metropolitan and regional community. We are committed to providing high quality patient care through routine and complex diagnostic services, expert advice and support for teaching and research.
- Full Time (38hrs P/W) over a 3-month period. Potential casual relief work may be available upon successful completion of the certificate III course.

- Ability to work on roster once qualified, including weekends

**About the role**
- We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. You will learn key technical skills of phlebotomy and responsibilities including, but not be limited to, the following:

- Enrolment in Pathology Collection Certificate III
- Undertake online course work completing, completing 3xunits per week
- Trained to collect Pathology samples from patients (venepuncture blood collections and non-blood specimens) in an outpatient centre
- Keep meticulous records for every patient and sample
- Prepare and package specimens for transport and testing
