**Who are we**
Based at Birkenhead Point Marina/Cockatoo Island, Superior Marine Services is a first-class boating service covering tailored maintenance packages, servicing and repairs of diesel and petrol inboards, outboards, stern drives, sail drives, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical, repowering, battery maintenance and seasonal vessel maintenance.
**The opportunity**
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Technician that is considered as a strong all-rounder in marine repairs, fit-outs and maintenance to bring this wealth of expertise to our team in Drummoyne.
**What you'll do**
We require a technician with experience in Pleasure Craft servicing and repairing diesel and petrol engines, gearbox repairs and knowledge in general electrical would be desirable.
You will have factory support and be working on, but not limited to:
- Suzuki
- Volvo
- Yanmar
- MerCruiser
- Mercury
The role will require you to:
- Work independently and as part of a growing team
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair marine engine systems
- Maintain a high level of workmanship
- Drive vessels, test and handover completed work to clients
- Ensure procedures and protocols are adhered to
- Assist with apprentice support and training
**About You**
- Great communication skills with exceptional English
- Experience with inboard and outboard motors
- Current car and boat licence
- 3 years experience in similar role
- Critical thinking
- Problem solving skills
**What's on offer**
- $82,000.00 (inclusive of Superannuation)
- 38hr week, Monday to Friday - no weekend work required
