**Role Summary**:
The Lifestyle Assistant’s primary goal is to help develop and oversee a lifestyle program that reflects residents’ preferences and enables individuals to maximise their abilities. This role acknowledges the physical, social, cultural, and religious backgrounds each person brings into the aged care setting. The Lifestyle Assistant will assist with the delivery of therapy programs designed by the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist. They will work closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator in delivering this program, ensuring it serves as a central point of social activity and emotional connection within the facility.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Develop and maintain resident care plans focused on social, emotional, and leisure needs in collaboration with residents and families
- Support the delivery and evaluation of individual and group activity programs, including therapy plans from allied health professionals
- Plan and promote diverse monthly programs within budget, fostering engagement across staff, volunteers, and pastoral care
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and risk management policies; maintain accurate records and reports
- Collaborate with Lifestyle Coordinators to deliver high-quality services and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Uphold professionalism, adhere to workplace safety standards, and follow the Aged Care Code of Conduct
**This role is being hired on a permanent part-time basis and is located out of our charming facility in Guildford.**
**Skills, Attributes and Experience**:
- Experience in aged care, including dementia support and therapy program delivery
- Strong communication, empathy and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing needs
- Knowledge of community programs and aged care services
- Must obtain or be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check, National Police Clearance and Driver's Licence
