**About the role**

Through the enablement of modern policing including connected officers, drones, biometrics, artificial intelligence / machine language and other technologies there has been great advancements in modern policing. Modern practices require modern cyber security solutions. As part of cyber security in law enforcement you will be on the fore front of working with concepts and products that your industry peers can only imagine.

Amongst this exciting landscape the Cyber Security Command is uplifting and transforming cyber security at NSWPF and we are now seeking talented individuals to join our rapidly growing team. This transformation will include leading edge technologies and practices which are being implemented within the organisation.

As a result of this success story, we are now seeking an experienced, switched on and motivated Product Owner - User Security to be responsible for the operational lifecycle for security technologies. We are looking for a tech-savvy professional who enjoys creatively thinking about new solutions, exploring new technologies and automating tasks around the existing technologies. This is long term role for a Leader looking for a stable career move. This contract will take you through till July 2026 (and beyond), based out of our state-of-the-art purpose-built cyber security centre in Sydney Olympic Park. We support flexible a hybrid work from home arrangement.

Reporting to the Cyber Security Engineering Manager, you will have a team of 3 direct reports which you will coach and develop. To be successful in this role, the individual will have an advanced technical understanding and practical hands-on experience in providing quality security solutions. They will be able to define a clear vision and prioritise the needs of the organisation in and around identity security. Current solutions in this field include Identity Management, Identity Federation, Multi Factor Authentication, User Behaviour Analytics and Privilege Identity Management / Privilege Access Management.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- High technical capability, with hands on experience
- Extensive professional experience with IT security products and services
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in an IT discipline or industry qualification including CISSP, CEH, OSCP etc
- Team leadership and service portfolio delivery experience
