RGIT Australia is looking for a highly motivated and dedicated **Operation Manager **to lead its team and manage our **Hobart Campus**.
This is a **full-time** position.
**Position purpose**
The Operation Manager will be responsible for the operations of the Marketing/Sales, HR, IT, and Student Administration departments of the Institutes and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure the Institute’s courses are delivered and assessed in accordance with the Institute’s compliance and regulatory requirements.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Management of RTO scope of registration resources ensuring currency with accredited training reporting & auditing requirements.
- Lead Academic team of our Hobart campus, guide train and assist our Trainers/Assessors and Coordinators.
- Work together with Dean of Academic Affairs and Quality and make sure RGIT's Academic department of Hobart campus is fully compliant.
- Ensure overall compliance of the RTO with all relevant external bodies - including contract requirements, quality assurance, accreditation, and legislative requirements.
- Manage risk through coordination of internal audits to ensure services are delivered in accordance with ASQA requirements, contractual obligations and RGIT Australia risk management and quality frameworks.
- Contribute to new business tenders (including State and Federal government funded offerings).
- Identify opportunities to create new business opportunities within new and existing accounts, rolling out non accredited and accredited training courses.
- Establish and maintain relationships with funding bodies, Skills Tasmania and and others to remain current with industry developments & training package update.
- Review and continually improve the RTO activities, programs and service delivery, ensuring that it remains current and underpins effective operations, and high levels of quality and service.
**Key Leadership Accountabilities**
- Manage accountabilities and deliverables within prescribed budget parameters.
- Promote a safe, efficient, and effective work/learning environment.

- Provide leadership, engendering teamwork and collaboration to the human resources team;
- Manage the day to day operations and Hobart campus staffing of the team to ensure consistency with legislative requirements, quality standards, performance against goals and objectives;
- Foster collaborative work practices and promote a workplace environment focused on staff empowerment, efficient work practices and encouragement of initiative and innovation;
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement in programs and services by promoting pursuit of excellence in Institute's practices as they relate to Human Resources.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships, alliances and networks within the organisational community, within Greenhill Education Group and other relevant stakeholders.
**Selection Criteria**
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Training & Assessment TAE combined with a tertiary qualification in Adult Education, Management or Business.
- Qualification with Community Services or Childcare (ECEC) or Hospitality preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Australian Skills Quality Authority, training packaging requirements, AVETMISS and experience with International students.
- Knowledge of State & Federal Training funding
- Demonstrated successful experience in managing and leading a team of professionals, in an RTO environment, in pursuit of excellence in service quality and delivery.
- Experience in business development and grant, tender or proposal writing
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation and communications with the ability to interact with all levels of staff, employee representatives, union officials, legal practitioners and other stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain composure, balance workload and conflicting priorities and effectively handle difficult situations.
- The ability to develop effective relationships with senior management and staff and maintain trust and confidence, and act in a fair and impartial manner to achieve outcomes.
- Demonstrated organisational, project management and administrative skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
