**Tell me about this role**:
We are currently looking for a security cleared (NV1) Engineering Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. No two days are the same in this role which is essential to the success of the project. We are looking for multi-skilled, flexible, hardworking people who are keen to grow their career within a leading Defence supplier. You will have a strong background in Engineering, Management, and previous experience in the Defence environment.

**What will I be doing day to day?**
- Develop and review technical documents
- Exercise assigned engineering authority
- Lead the technical team in contract negotiations
- Motivate and mentor junior engineers
- Participate in applicable Work Groups and technical reviews
- Conduct and coordinate risk management activities
- Provide technical input to the technical design and solutions to meet project requirements
- Liaise with technical stakeholders
- Foster a working environment that is focused on meeting the requirements of customers, both external and internal

**What sort of skills do I need?**
- Demonstrated experience working in a Defence environment
- Tertiary qualifications in an engineering field or related technical discipline.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels and across the customer/contractor boundaries
- Experience in Aerospace Project
- Strong verbal communications, coupled with strong technical writing skills.
- Hold a NV1 security clearance
