Build Best Construction is looking for a skilled Steel Fabricator to join our team. As a Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing metal structures and components, ranging from simple frameworks to complex structures, using a variety of tools and techniques.

**Responsibilities**:

- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce metal structures and components
- Cut, shape, and bend metal using various tools
- Weld, bolt, or rivet metal components together to create the desired structure
- Measure and mark cutting and bending lines on metal using rulers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Operate and maintain equipment and machinery, ensuring safety standards are met
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments as needed
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment

**Requirements**:

- At least 2 years of experience in steel fabrication
- Certification in welding or metal fabrication preferred
- Knowledge of welding techniques and safety procedures
- Experience operating various tools and machinery used in steel fabrication
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality work
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Physical stamina and strength to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects
- White card
- MUST HAVE OWN EQUIPMENT
- ABN available

**Job Types**: Subcontract, Casual, Contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bass Hill, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
