Nortwest is looking for dynamic professionals looking to be a part of a growing organisation.
Currently we are seeking a qualified, experienced and very motived English Language Trainer. This course is a General English programme to be delivered to teach second language learners the aspect of the 4 macro-skills. This programme will be teaching the learners about the writing of cover letters and resumes.
**Job tasks and Responsibilities for ELICOS Trainer**
- Develop and deliver General English lesson plans with clear objectives to address the 4 macro-skills
- Systematically record all students’ performance and achievement.
- Create an engaging and very positive learning environment for all students
- Participating in scheduled professional development activities
- Optimising student engagement consistently at all times
- Fostering a positive and professional rapport is maintained with the students at all times
- Implement strategies to motivate student learning
- Adhere to the teaching-related administrative task.
- Any other related tasks as required by your reporting manager.
**Skills and Experience**
- A recognised degree or diploma of at least three years full-time or equivalent (teaching or other)
- A recognised and suitable TESOL qualification that contains TESOL as a method e.g.: Masters in TESOL, Certificate IV or CELTA/DELTA
- Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching at a college in Australia or formally mentored by a senior staff member with this experience
- Experience in managing and teaching ELICOS programmes
- Ability to work effectively in a team and holds strong interpersonal and communication skills In-depth knowledge of the ELICOS National Standards
- Ability to be creative and be able to improvise and enliven the General English planned lessons
- Authorisation to work in Australia
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
