Library Branch Officer

**Salary**:$79,419 - $91,332 per annum + 11.5% superannuation

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. We are seeking a dynamic Library Branch Officer to oversee the daily operation of our Malabar Branch Library, with a community engagement focus.

**Purpose**:
The Library Branch Officer supervises the daily operation of the Malabar Library branch, managing staff, building, technology and equipment in liaison with relevant departments, as well as delivering early literacy, book clubs and other community programs.

**About the role**:

- Provide excellent customer experience at the branch with the ability to positively resolve the majority of customer requests or interactions.
- Support library programs at the branch through planning and direct delivery of early literacy, book clubs and other programs as directed and in conjunction with the Service Development Team.
- Maintain Malabar Branch Library in a safe, presentable, functional and accessible condition through reporting and following up facility and equipment issues through Library Administration, Building Services and Workplace Health and Safety.

**About you**:

- Diploma in Library & Information Science or equivalent (minimum qualification)
- At least 5 years experience in public library branch operations
- Demonstrated experience in supporting library programming, through planning or delivery of programs or events.
