About the Role
The Principal Education Officer will work in the Curriculum team to:

- Develop and deliver curriculum resources that support the provision of the AC version 9 in Queensland state schools
- Support the implementation of the education strategy Equity and Excellence: Realising the potential of every student
- Create curriculum resources to ensure continuity of learning for all students
- Maintain the integrity of the suite of published Curriculum into the Classroom (C2C) resources, as required
- Develop and present professional development materials to facilitate the use of the AC and C2C resources and build capability and understanding of the AC

**You will have responsibility for, but not be limited to**:

- Lead and participate in planning, implementation and review of a range of projects that foster high quality teaching practice, instructional leadership, effective school administration and school and community partnerships.
- Develop strategies in partnership with other officers, coordinate projects and deliver services focussed on high quality teaching practice, instructional leadership, school administration and school and community partnerships, using high level knowledge of teaching, learning, school operations and school improvement strategies.
- Contribute to research and identification of solutions to issues that impact on student outcomes and school improvement.
- Draft, write and edit plans, briefing materials, communication materials, case studies, correspondence, papers and reports on implementation strategies, projects and services.

Highly desirable
- Extensive knowledge of, and experience with AC
- Teaching experience, knowledge and skills (preferably primary)
- High level written, spoken and digital communication skills including the ability to create high quality curriculum support resources and professional development materials
- Demonstrated capacity to work successfully both within a team and autonomously on complex projects and achieve required outcomes within set timeframes
