**Who are we?**
We are mums, dads, recent/new grads, previously GP vets/shelter vets, members of the college, residents & EMMc specialists..people who graduated Veterinary Science but wanted more.
Are you interested but perhaps a little uncertain if this exciting opportunity is right for you? We would love to invite you in, behind the doors, to hang with us in ‘the trenches’ to meet us, our Nurses and Client Care Team, to learn more about what we do?
Are you worried about sole charge, or not being ‘good enough’. Are you struggling with imposter syndrome, or concerned that you do not know enough? We are invested in helping you to grow, to develop the knowledge. We always have someone awake, or just a phone call away to give you support and advice.
**Who am I?**
I am Dr. Lisa Brumby, Veterinary Manager of a team of 30 veterinarians, at AES Carrara. I am looking to expand our team with like-minded people. I have 2 children, aged 7 and 8. I started as a shelter veterinarian, and have worked in emergency since July 2010. I would like to invite you into our 24 hour emergency hospital, to show case to you, our team, our culture, what we do, and of course, all the ‘toys’. We have referenced treatment guidelines to help you but avoid the idea of treatment protocols as believe that every team member will always do their best to treat each patient and client within their limitations - emotionally and financially.
**Our People, Our Practice**:
We are privileged to work alongside the Veterinary Specialist Services Internal Medicine, Surgical, Cardiology, Dermatology and Dentistry Teams.
Our Animal Emergency Australia Veterinary Departments have Specialist ECC veterinarians, and we are currently training ECC Residents at both our Carrara and Underwood branches.
Our clinicians are exposed to, and assisted by our experience veterinarians to become proficient in ventilating tick paralysis, snake, cardiology and trauma patients, that we get to use all year round. We currently have 5 ventilators at the Gold Coast clinic alone
**The pay**:
You are rewarded for the hard work you do, with our senior team members earning 180k+.
**The hours**:
We are open Monday to Thursday 6pm-8am and 24/7 Friday 6pm to Monday 8am. For the right personalities we would consider 8-30 hours/week. We believe that given our hours of operation, above this would lead to burn out.
**Benefits and Cool Stuff**
- An appealing salary that will reflect your abilities and future performance. Remuneration is dependent on experience. Our more senior veterinarians consistently ear 180k+
- The hours: we are open Monday to Thursday 6pm-8.30am and 24/7 Friday 6pm to Monday 8am inclusive of all public holidays. For the right personalities we would consider 8-30 hours/week. We believe that given our hours of operation, above this would lead to burn out.
