AlayaCare are seeking a Data Exports (Engineering) Manager (known internally as Manager, Application Exports ANZ) for their Export Development team, with experience leading a team in SaaS software development, utilising Python/PHP/SQL/Vue to manage our Data Extracts team.

**About the role**

Reporting to the VP, Engineering Operations & Technical Services ANZ, the Application Exports Manager leads a team of up to 4 direct reports, who work with our staff and clients to scope and generate custom exports (which are then available from within the app on demand) to customer specifications using Python, PHP, and SQL.

This role is split between managing, mentoring, and developing the team, and on the tools development, usually for larger more complex customers. This role will manage priorities and escalations from clients and internal teams, and allocating work within the Data Extracts team, work on improvements to processes, core code and expand the capabilities of the Extracts team.

**More specifically, you will be completing tasks such as**:

- Manage the Data Extracts team across the employment lifecycle including recruitment, performance management, remuneration and engagement.
- Develop the Data Extracts team through development & execution of strategies for the team to deliver better outcomes internally and externally.
- Contribute toward the design of future state architecture of the export functionality and create discrete tasks for the team to work towards that goal (move towards our own micro-service etc.)
- Engage with staff and sometimes customers to clarify and refine reporting requirements to ensure understanding.
- Code complex custom exports in PHP, Python and SQL according to customer specifications. And in the future Vue for front end components.
- Develop and undertake unit tests.
- Complete manual sanity checks of Developed reports testing.
- Perform tests of data export format on local dev environment and in Staging or UAT environment.
- Deploy code to production and other environments in multiple regions.
- Understand the industry and customer business needs and using this knowledge to guide staff and customers towards more effective reporting.
- Escalate areas of concern and activity pursue addressing those concerns.

**What we're looking for in an Application Exports Manager;**
- Software development/computer science qualification or equivalent experience
- At least three years working in SaaS software development from which you understand the software development lifecycle
- At least two years leading a team with intermediate leadership skills
- Advanced ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines
- Advanced PHP/Python/SQL skills (3+ years)
- Some exposure/experience with Vue JS
- Intermediate working understanding and proficiency in Software development project tools - Jira, Git, Confluence
- Intermediate knowledge of database principles and technologies
- Intermediate customer service skills - dealing with customers to understand their report requirements, managing expectations
- Advanced communication, problem solving and accountability skills
- Adept at working flexibly - able to collaborate across teams and work independently
- A thirst for knowledge and the ability to learn quickly.

**It would be a bonus if you also have**:

- Experience working with AlayaCare, Procura or other SaaS products.
- Knowledge of and experience with the aged and disability care sector.
