Engage Abilities is a Registered Service Provider of the NDIS. Our team of highly experienced staff aim to provide our clients with quality service that reflects their needs and promotes their dignity, well-being, abilities and independence. We are currently recruiting a passionate **SIL /** **Support Workers for the Wollongong area.**

**The role consists of**:

- Supporting participants with a disability to be active members of the community.
- **High level personal care.**:

- Teaching and helping with everyday tasks such as meal preparation, daily local errands and cleaning.
- Supporting and monitoring their healthcare needs, support plans and/or administering medication.
- Helping them to access community facilities and be included in community groups.

**Skills and knowledge**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level English proficiency required.
- Experience with Personal care for clients.
- Confident computing and smart phone app skills.
- Experience in the Community services industry.
- A compassionate approach with a strong work ethic are essential for this role.
- Able to proactively assess risks and solve problems.
- Flexibility in working hours with active over night shifts also required.
- Previous industry experience preferred.
- **Driver license with full comprehensive car insurance is required.**

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $31.61 - $39.26 per hour

**Experience**:

- community services: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- driver licence with full comprehensive car insurance (required)
- WWCC, Police Check and NDISWC (preferred)
- First Aid and CPR (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
