In this role, you will be responsible for performing component repairs, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various equipment, including Volvo, Scania cab chassis, high-quality explosive manufacturing equipment, and other light vehicles and plant machinery.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform component repairs, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on modern Volvo, Scania cab chassis, high-quality explosive manufacturing equipment, and a variety of other light vehicles and plant equipment.
- Schedule servicing, maintenance, and respond to breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant procedures and policies.
- Conduct investigations and provide feedback on possible repairs and solutions.
- Willingness to undergo training specific to the explosives industry.
- Carry out work both onsite and in the workshop.
- Travel to different sites across Western Australia via fly/drive arrangements.
- Successfully pass medicals and drug & alcohol tests for site access.
- Experience with Scania, Volvo, and Mercedes chassis is desirable.
- Exposure to PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems is desirable.
**Qualifications**:
- AUR31120 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
- AUR30420 Certificate III in Agricultural Mechanical Technology.
- AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology.
- AUR31220 Mobile Plant Technology.
- MEM60112 Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Mechanical).
- MEM31419 Certificate III in Engineering - Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic.
**Additional Information**:
- Rosters can vary, including 8&6, 2&1, and other arrangements, providing flexibility for work-life balance.
- The pay rate for this position is $65 per hour, offering a competitive remuneration package.
