Our Company is one of Queensland's leading produce warehousing, food distribution and export companies. We have two sites at Rocklea Brisbane, with our Head Office & NQ warehouse situated in Cairns.

An exciting opportunity exists to fill the role of **Quality Assurance Manager**, based at Rocklea.

You will have company-wide responsibility for Quality Assurance and Certification Management for our Brisbane Packing Shed (retail hard produce and citrus), Export Warehouse (Fresh Produce, Dairy, Meat, Seafood), and our Cairns facility (mínimally-processed vegetables, meat storage and food-service produce-distribution).

**Essential requirements for this role are**:

- Training and experience in HACCP and food safety / quality systems.
- Experience in QC of perishable foods.
- Basic understanding of Food Export Systems (Export Orders 2021).
- Management of audit compliance for HACCP, SQFv9, HARPS, Sedex, Dept Agriculture Export Compliance.
- Maintain a program of internal audits, calibrations, produce testing (Freshtest) and Approved Supplier Program.
- Willingness to work alongside production-line staff to train and assist with grading activities.
- Available for flexible hours as required.
- Able to deliver staff training in GMP, Food Safety and OH&S.
- Able to prepare and communicate concise reports with photo evidence for investigation of quality issues with trade partners.

**Desirable qualities**:

- Good communication skills at a high level with trade partners, senior staff and suppliers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good time-management and organizational ability to ensure QC program is successfully managed for all sites across the year.
- A background in export food and produce quality control will be highly regarded.
- Ability to make commercially-balanced decisions based on customer specifications.

**Salary**: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
