**Based in the Melbourne head office, your role will include**
- Providing data, analysis, and insights required to deliver on corporate and strategic objectives
- Reviewing, improving and analysing a suite of existing reports as requested by the retail business unit
- Preparing and delivery of high-quality written reports/statistical analysis for input to papers, presentations and other material on behalf of the revenue assurance function
- Manage and coordinate responses to all ad-hoc reporting requests and undertake/participate in projects
- Develop and build reporting tools to enable the business more efficient use of data and accessibility to reporting and analysis.
- Actively participate and represent Revenue Assurance in enterprise-wide data, reporting and analytics initiatives
**Required Expertise & Qualifications**
- Proven experience in data preparation and interrogation gained in energy retailing or telecommunications through experience in data formatting, manipulation, merging and transformation for exploratory analysis and modeling
- Tertiary qualified in a numerate or quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Applied Science., or equivalent highly desired.
- Demonstrable excellence in numeracy, including a sound grasp of concepts of probability
- At least one of the following modeling software packages: MATLAB, R, SAS, SPSS.
- At least one of the following scripting languages: C++, Java, Python.
- Data visualisation using Tableau / Qlikview / D3.js
- Excellence in the effective visual communication of complex concepts and numerical data
- Extracting information from a wide variety of sources including quantitative, qualitative and big data sources
- Ability to conduct investigations, selecting and interrogating appropriate information sources, and developing robust inferences and solution designs based upon such investigations.
