**About the Role**:We’re looking for someone early in their payroll career who is keen to grow and take the next step. As a Payroll Officer, you’ll gain valuable exposure to payroll operations, employee lifecycle administration, and process improvement—all while contributing to a high-performing team in a trusted organisation.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Payroll Processing - Support pay run activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Contract & Document Management - Retrieve and organise physical contracts (Rhodes-based role requires 3 days in-office).

Employee Lifecycle Support - Assist with onboarding, terminations, and employee changes.

Payroll Reporting - Download key documents and review payroll reports ahead of processing.

Process Enhancement - Help identify and implement improvements to payroll workflows.

Team & Employee Support - Answer payroll queries and support internal teams where needed.

**Ideal Skills & Experience**:

- Some experience in payroll processing, with a desire to learn and grow.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Confident communicator with a strong customer service mindset.
- Comfortable working independently and in a team setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).

**Nice to Have**:

- Knowledge of Australian payroll and superannuation requirements.
- Exposure to modern awards or enterprise agreements.
- Previous experience in a retail or multi-site business.
- Qualification in Business, Finance, or HR (advantageous but not essential).
