As a Research Grants Officer at the University of Melbourne, you'll have the opportunity to support cutting-edge research by managing post-award administration of research funding. You'll work closely with academics, university departments, and external funding agencies to ensure high-quality outcomes. **Your responsibilities will include**:

- **Manage Post-Award Administration**:Provide high-quality support for funded research, ensuring compliance and timely reporting to funding bodies.
- **Build and Maintain Relationships**:Establish excellent connections with internal and external stakeholders, offering impactful advice to researchers and administrators.
- **Support Grant Management Processes**:Assist in negotiating and accepting research funding, coordinating communications, and maintaining accurate data in research management systems.
- **Contribute to University Initiatives**:Help organise training seminars, workshops, and special programs to support the research community.

**You may also**:

- Have a tertiary qualification with relevant experience in a similar role.
- Possess strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Track record of showing good judgement, initiative and ability to undertake tasks with minimum supervision, seeking advice and escalating issues when required
- Have experience in maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
- Be adaptable and thrive in a flexible, changing environment.
- Have experience working in a university setting (desirable).
