**The Opportunity**

As the Asset Assurance Manager, you are responsible for assurance of contractor activities associated with Asset Management, Logistics Engineering and the Support System Baseline. You will rely on your experience to provide assurance on behalf of our customer when reviewing deliverables including the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) and Life Cycle Cost Model (LCCM).

You will have a proven track record in establishing client and stakeholder relationships and managing contractors to deliver asset management programs. You will work closely with Principal Delivery Managers to assure inclusion of Asset Management activities in the Annual Work Plan and 5 Year Work Plans.

The Asset Assurance Manager works independently to provide high quality asset management, risk assessment and logistics engineering outcomes, and applies relevant procedures during execution of activities.

The Asset Assurance Manager reports to the Engineering Assurance Manager.

**Responsibilities**
- Independently deliver assurance services over the ACS Enterprise Asset Management System within the authority of technical delegation, including Asset Management Accreditation.
- Independently deliver trusted advice to the ACSSPO Principal Engineer, Principal Maintenance Manager and Principal Supply Manager regarding enterprise and technical risks and issues concerning asset management and asset performance.
- Independently deliver assurance services for the development, maintenance, and improvement of the Life Cycle Cost Model.
- Independently exercise oversight and assurance of the contractor’s asset management and performance optimisation activities.
- Independently develop and maintain the Asset and Logistics Engineering Management Plans and Processes.
- Independently provide assurance that asset optimisation activities are identified in the Annual Work Plan and 5 Year Plan.
- Independently review Logistics Engineering deliverables, including the LSAR, and provide assurance that logistics support data is maintained, updated and configuration baseline managed within the data environments.
- Lead Asset Integrated Project Teams, independently mentor personnel in Asset Management and Logistics Support analysis.
- Develop and maintain relationships with agencies engaged in the support of the ACSSPO assets.
- Manage stakeholder engagements and communications to achieve best for program outcomes.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**

**Essential**
- Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical or Marine (at least Certificate or Diploma).
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a related industry or similar position.
- Experience in Logistics Support Analysis.
- Demonstrated Asset Management experience in industry sectors such as Defence, Maritime, Rail, Manufacturing, Water, Mining or Oil and Gas.
- Eligible to obtain a Suitably Qualified Experience Personnel (SQEP) delegation within an Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO).
- Eligible for Eligible for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) clearance on relevant ship systems.
- Eligible to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.

**Desirable**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Marine.
- Experience in managing contractors to deliver Support Systems.
- Experience in Defence Industry.
- Experience in Maritime/Marine Engineering.
- Eligible for membership of a recognized professional body and registration as Chartered Engineer.
- Completion of a degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or similar studies.
