Quality Lead

**About the role**

Ventia’s Defence Base Services (DBS) team have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced **Quality Lead** to support our Defence Base Services team. This is a permanent full-time role primarily based between Perth head office and Campbell Barracks in Swanbourne, with regular travel within metro Perth and regional Western Australia, to visit Defence sites.

This role is pivotal as it oversees the ongoing review and maintenance of the policies, processes, standards and systems for the DBS contract in WA and its supply chain including Sub-Contractors. In addition, you will develop, guide, mentor and support personnel to implement the quality system and processes to achieve business outcomes.

**About you**

Reporting directly into the National Quality Systems Manager, you are someone who enjoys being relied upon and building relationships and engaging with staff, sub-contractors, and stakeholders to ensure all duties carried out are compliant with Commonwealth, State/Territory & Local Legislation, Regulations, Guidelines and Codes, Australian Standards and Defence Policy.

You are naturally a results focused individual who can identify and prioritise problems and issues, generate solutions and work collaboratively to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. You have outstanding prioritising and organisational capabilities, a high degree of motivation, energy, and initiative, with the capacity to drive a culture of delivering excellence, whilst dealing with multiple and often conflicting priorities.

**Key duties, but not limited to**:

- Develop, guide, mentor and support personnel to implement the quality system and processes to achieve business outcomes
- Schedule, manage and undertake audits (Internal & Sub-Contractor) of systems, processes, procedures and plans and provide oversight of corrective action closeout
- Oversee risk assessment processes and develop risk mitigation strategies with business leads
- Provide accurate and timely advice to relevant Defence personnel where required

**Skills & experience**:

- Tertiary qualification in Quality or relevant field and/or significant experience
- Experience implementing quality management systems and processes
- Qualifications and experience as a lead Auditor
- Results-focussed with the ability to identify and prioritise problems and issues, generate solutions and work collaboratively to achieve a successful outcome
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite is desirable
- Highly developed written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills

**Other special conditions**

The incumbent to this position must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance up to a level of Baseline. As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.
This position requires a National Police Clearance Check and a valid Australian driver’s licence.
