The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Contracts Specialist to support the RAAF Wedgetail program based in either Brisbane QLD or Williamtown, NSW. You will be responsible for supporting various contracting activities, including tasks such as developing and negotiating timely and quality proposals leading to the contract administration/execution of these transactions. You will frequently deal with key stakeholders within the business, advising and guiding them in contractual interpretations and negotiations. You will also deal directly with customers and their Contracts, Commercial and legal advisors.
**Responsibilities**:
- Will be supporting the entire life-cycle of contracts for the sale and support of aerospace products, by way of leading proposal development, negotiations, and contractual execution.
- Exercises appropriate signature authority in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies.
- Presents business solutions to preserve and expand the business.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, Boeing policies and procedures and Australian statutory requirements as well as prioritisation of customer requirements for assigned tasks.
**Required Qualifications**:
- This position must meet Export Control and Security Clearance compliance requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 3+ years of post-qualification experience advising and/or interacting with clients, customers or suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Law or Master's degree
- Experience in Contracts, and Aerospace experience is highly desirable
- 6+ years of experience in contracts or other commercial/legal advisory
- Experience supporting reviews of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to self-manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
