**Be a Part of Excellence: Part-Time ICU Equipment Service Officer Position at SALHN**

As an ICU Equipment Service Officer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of life-saving medical equipment and stores management. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety by ensuring routine maintenance referrals, and stores consumables are available for ICU Clinicians. **About the role**:
Reporting to the ICU Nurse Manager, this role is responsible for performing a range of duties associated with the coordination of consumables, medical products, biomedical and capital equipment in the Intensive and Critical Care Unit (ICCU). This will include coordinating, sourcing and ordering consumable stock, both impress and non-impress, maintaining point of care stock locations and bulk storage holdings within the department and maintain a range of biomedical and capital equipment within the department under the supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager/s.

Duties for the role will include:

- The employee will contribute to a safe and healthy work environment, free from discrimination and harassment by working in accordance with legislative requirements, the Code of Ethics and departmental human resource policies, including the OHS&W requirements,
- Is responsible for ensuring that medical products, consumables, biomedical and capital equipment within the ICCU is always ready and available for use,
- Is responsible for identifying and assisting with Hazard identification, risk assessment and control measure process,
- Is responsible, in collaboration with the contract supply department staff, for ensuring that goods received from the bulk warehouse are fit for use and are appropriately stored in order to minimise damage, stock loss/ wastage and oversupply.

**About you**:

- AQF Certificate IV relevant to employee’s position,
- Proven experience in working under pressure using high level of attention to detail and meeting agreed timeframes whilst maintaining confidentiality in the workplace,
- Experience in a health or retail environment managing stock and warehouse operations,
- Experience in using information systems and maintaining information databases,
