Following an internal transfer we have an opportunity for a skilled and safety focused DC Team Leader for our Marshall Court Distribution Centre in Altona

The Distribution Centre Team Leader is accountable for understanding the required tasks, processes and units of measure for each functional area of the Distribution Centre, as well as the requirements of all relevant company policies and procedures in performing the work required.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Ensuring that our team is always safe - Mid size team of 30 on day off peak and 70 in peak
- Ensure Team Members are following relevant processes and procedures
- Maintain open, effective communication channels with team members and stakeholders both within and external to the Distribution Centre
- Work effectively and collaboratively with other Team Members to support the achievement of team goals
- Training and developing team members to improve their skills and performance;
- Coordinating your team’s daily activities

What will make you successful?

You will have leadership potential, experience from either warehousing, logistics or Distribution Centre background and a strong consistent safety focus with;
- Strong leadership, relationship building and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
- Strong computer and communications skills
- Will and drive to solve issues and take on projects
- Demonstrated experience in Occupational Health and Safety Management
