Market Data Manager/analyst

The Market Data Manager will work closely with the Business, IT and Legal taking ultimate responsibility for all areas of the firm’s market data. This will include both vendor and native exchange market data. The candidate will manage all market data usage across the firm. The position is both managerial and technical and will demand high organizational skills.
Responsibilities include interacting with technical, business, audit, compliance, and legal personnel in the firm and vendors and exchanges outside of the firm. The candidate will be the firm point of contact for all data use. Over time, this role may extend into projects outside the area of market data including but not limited to exchange connectivity, order routing and other front & back-office systems. In this role, you will: Oversee market data procurement, reliability, latency, usage, storage, documentation and costs for firmBe responsible for Audits and compliance of market dataBe responsible for Vendor/Exchange managementBe responsible for Task Tracking, Coordination and PrioritizationBe responsible for Process ImprovementBe responsible for System ArchitectureWhat we're looking forMust have 5+ years experience in a Project Management roleMust have 5+ years experience in Market DataMust have 2+ years experience in Vendor ManagementA thorough understanding of the systems and concepts important to our business including knowledge of Real-Time Market Data, Order Management Systems (OMS), Compliance and Electronic tradingMust have strong business & technical understanding of market data systems and their use in a trading environmentKnowledge of financial products including, equities & derivativesExposure to and knowledge of Asian markets and exchangesExperience in managing Market Data from Vendors (Reuters, Bloomberg), Wombat, and/or Native Exchange feedsAn understanding of Market Data user permissioning and reporting systems (eg.
DACS)Experience in processes & systems related to Market Data Management, Audit, and System DocumentationMust be degree qualified in a business/technical disciplineAn understanding or Exchange connectivity and Order Management systemsAn understanding of Front & Back Office business and systemsThe ability to converse on a technical level to Software Development teams and to convey that information to legal, operations and managementAn understanding of networking including TCP/IP, UDP, multicastSIG is not accepting unsolicited resumes from search firms.
