We are currently seeking a staff member on a permanent full time basis to join our team based at our offices in **Sunshine, Victoria**. Hybrid working arrangements are currently in place.

**Our Team**
Our team manages work with in the road reserve, assessing engineering plans for the new subdivisional developments, issuing LPD information to the resident and manage nearly 1M budget on drainage.
**The role**
Reporting to the Infrastructure Development Coordinator, we are seeking an technical officer with a one year experience in similar working environment, who can bring their skills and experience for:

- Attending street light enquiries from the resident.
- Ability to assess CCTV inspection reports for the underground drainage

**About you**
To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Local government experience is desirable
- A diploma in engineering or equivalent qualification is desirable
- Ability to meet timelines
- Knowledge of relevant codes and legislations

In accordance with our COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination Policy, this role requires you to have received a third / booster vaccination or have an authorised medical exemption before commencing employment with us.

**Selection Criteria**
- Essential : Ability to administer and provide engineering information and advice associated with a municipal engineering office
- Desirable : A good knowledge of municipal procedures, the general workings of local government and the requirements procedures of service utility organisations.
- Desirable : Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Desirable : Experience with relevant computer software, such as MS Office, and ability to use the Brimbank Request System (Confirm), GIS and other technical software.
- Desirable : Current Driver’s licence.
- Desirable : Proven ability to meet timelines
- Desirable : Relevant technical qualifications in a discipline relating to the position, such as an Associate Diploma Engineering, are desirable.
- Desirable : Knowledge of relevant Codes, Legislation and work practices in relation to the areas of responsibility is desirable
