Weir Minerals Australia LTD, a member of the Weir Group PLC, is the market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of slurry pumps and allied minerals processing equipment to the mining industry, both within Australia and throughout the world.

We currently have an opportunity based in our Perth office for a motivated and pro-active Site Service Fitter who will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance on Weir equipment on customer sites and the workshop as both a fitter and hands on site service technician.
- The key responsibilities of this role will include: (but not limited to)_
- Manage all on site installations, repair maintenance and test tasks as per scopes of work provided.
- Recommend improvements to the Site Service Supervisor for the customers equipment that will reduce their TOC.
- Develop strong relationships with key customers to ensure expectations are being met and remedial action to address issues.
- Show flexibility under urgent or breakdown conditions to service customer requirements.
- Liaise with the area manager to ensure that all installations and commissioning activities are being undertaken in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- To be successful in this role you will have:_
- A tertiary qualifications in Fitting/Machining - Certificate 3 and above.
- Previous fitting experience in workshop and on site demonstrating high quality.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day and lift up to 20 kgs
