**About the opportunity**

Westgold are currently on the lookout for a WHS Trainer (Underground) with a strong commitment to upholding safety standards. This role will be offered on a permanent 8:6 (Days) roster based out of our Cue: Big Bell Operations in the Murchison Region.

**The role includes**
- Liaising with the Supervisors and trainees to plan and coordinate training and assessment activities, ensuring conformance with site requirements
- Development of retraining plans who do not achieve the require results during the assessment activities
- Facilitate various training sessions, including inductions, on-the-job-training and assessments
- Ensure assessment activities comply with the with the principles and rules of assessment
- Assess effectiveness of training (e.g. after incidents and accidents, performance improvement)
- Maintain and document training records accurately in INX InTuition
- Ensure all formal documents involved in training and assessment are current and completed correctly
- Ensure that appropriate induction training is completed
- Ensuring all workers are competent based on appropriate education, training, skills and experience

**What do I need?**
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (required)
- Current unrestricted WA Class “C” Driver’s License
- National Police Clearance (12-month validity)
- Experience in the gold mining industry (ideally UG and/or training desirable)
- Sound understanding of mining operations and safety regulations in Western Australia
- Demonstrated capability to manage projects, meet deadlines and operate independently
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
