**About Us**:
The Ipswich State High School is a school of 2000 students and is steadily growing. Our school vision of Respect and Responsibility is enacted through our High Expectations behaviour framework and encouraged in everything we do, building positive relationships within the school and the local community.We have a number of signature programs that have been developed over time that make us the first choice of schooling in Ipswich and the surrounding areas. Designated DoE Programs of Excellence allow enrolments from outside of catchment (STEM, Dance, Rugby League, Hair and Beauty and Construction and Horticulture). The school is also a Mature Age School allowing older students to complete their schooling; and 30% of the students identify as being either Aboriginal or Torres Strait, or Maori or Pacific Islander background, with more than 10% being born overseas. There is an increasing number of refugee enrolments who are provided with tailored EALD support. The school is an accredited International Student Program School and regularly hosts both long-term student exchanges and short-term study tours.

**About the Role**:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
