Livestock Supervisor Pm

**About the role**:
**Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- The receival and handling of livestock in the yards.
- Understands and implements/enforces the requirements for each of the SOP’s that are relevant to this department e.g. EU, halal, SA, FRL, BSE, Animal Welfare etc.
- Stock correlation is maintained.
- Knows the proposed export destination of stock and market requirements (i.e. EU, SA) and handle stock accordingly.
- Correct documentation is received.
- Ensures identity and traceability of livestock is maintained.
- Monitors welfare of all livestock and maintains a close liaison with AQIS OPV on animal welfare matters.
- Monitoring and reporting to FSQAM.
- Ensures that Holding pens are kept to standards set down in the Construction and Equipment Guidelines for Export Meat, AQIS, 2nd Edition.
- Prepares yard maintenance reports.

**About you**:

- Excellent verbal & written communication abilities
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Sound computer skills MS Office
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem solving skills with exhibited analytical abilities
- Possess a good work ethic: be reliable, committed with a positive attitude
- Basic Livestock knowledge and experience in the Beef or Sheep meat Industry would be advantageous
