**About the opportunity**
This role is all about connection, you will help drive new business within the medium business portfolio. Working alongside account managers to close opportunities, you will use your extensive new business experience to sell freight solutions to medium business customers.
**What you’ll deliver with us**
In this role you will be our front line sales & business development specialist for an area of Sydney that has been identified as having a high potential and opportunity for new business. In this role you will be on the road, seeing customers with account managers. Supporting the growth of portfolios and bringing on new business within the portfolio focused on acquisition.
You will be making sales, setting appointments and connecting leads through pipeline deep dives, leads that come through our contact centre, databases, and lapsed lists. You will be identifying opportunities, closing them and then working within the business to help provide solutions that navigate internal processes with no challenges to the customer.
This is a role for a solutions focused salesperson, if you care deeply about the customer experience but are also comfortable handing off accounts to account managers once the customer is embedded.
In this role you will be successful if you reach your revenue target and your annual contract target, these are reasonable and there is a lot of help to set you up for success within our sales infrastructure. You will have a whole machine behind you, that helps with thought leadership, added value to clients, solutions teams and others.
**You’ll also**
- Pitch to medium business clients at executive level, often to owners or senior stakeholders of some of Australia’s most dynamic eCommerce businesses.
- Balance volume, revenue and profit to deliver sustainable profitable outcomes.
- Devise and deliver client strategies that meet your targets.
- Accurately document and reflect all sales and opportunity management activity within salesforce with quality data.
**About you**
You will have extensive sales experience in new business within a large and complex sales infrastructure.
We are looking for a deeply ethical individual, who is focused on the customer and their needs, is open and transparent with leadership and the business to find out how we can best serve or customers needs.
**You’ll also**
- Have experience building and developing c-level relationships within client organisations.
- Have experience delivering results In a complex industry. Have a track record of progressing opportunities from identification to close.
