High profile agency seeking APS4 Payroll Officers across Canberra.

**Your new company**

Within this Department there is a shift towards expanding the staff and shuffling the workload, this has created a new position for an enthusiastic individual to join the team whilst contributing and developing their skills.

**Your new role**

In your new position you will have the opportunity to develop your career and expand on your skill set within the payroll team, to perform a broad range of tasks inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

- Provide advice on payroll information
- Set up new employees on the system
- Calculation of leave and entitlements (LSL, annual leave, sick leave)
- Reading and interpreting enterprise agreements
- Payroll auditing
- Processing superannuation
- Resolving issues in relation to pay related enquires

**What you'll need to succeed**

Your previous experience in a similar role within the Australian Public Service will lead to your success, as well as the below key skills;
- High attention to detail
- Previous experience using Aurion, SAP or Chris21
- Organisational and time management skills
- Ability to achieve outcomes and meet deadlines
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships and engagement
- Adaptability to fast paced and changing environments and work demand
- Willingness to learn
On the job training will be provided but it is essential that you have a thorough understanding of APS standards, policies and frameworks. You must be an Australian Citizen and possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a baseline personnel security clearance.
