**Your new role**
The Project Officer will work collaboratively with the project management and delivery team, professionally assisting with all aspects of the project delivery ensuring that they adhere to set expectations, outcomes, timeframes and deliverables. The key duties of the position include:

- Organising and supporting meetings with internal and external stakeholders including calendar deconfliction, agenda development, recording and disseminating meeting outcomes and tracking progress.
- Development and dissemination of regular program reporting to internal and external stakeholders to ensure they are kept informed.
- Facilitating grant management and contract amendment requirements for approval by the relevant delegate
- Provide project management and coordination support as required
- Prepare relevant project documentation and artefacts
- Participate in and schedule regular project management meetings at numerous levels.
- Provide project communications to relevant stakeholders
- Manage ad hoc queries and respond to requests for information in a timely manner
- Contribute to the preparation of briefings, report and other materials
- Record keeping

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you must be an Australian Citizen and have relevant experience in Government Department and / or in a similar position. You must also be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2) as well as be willing to undertake an Employment Suitability Screening (ESC) which is specific to the Department.

It is imperative that you possess traits such as being self-motivated, possess good judgement and have a demonstrated ability to operate flexibly and under limited supervision. Additionally, it is important that you are able to demonstrate skills and experience in program management, including contract management, financial processing, report compilation, stakeholder management, meeting facilitation and support, and administrative duties.
