Finnish Early Childhood Education (Australia) Pty Ltd is an unprecedented education group establishing services aiming to deliver Australian children a unique early childhood education by blending both Finnish and Australian early childhood education concepts together. Our curriculum is based on the Finnish education concept of holistic learning and play.

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated full-time Education Manager (38 hours per week) to enhance support for children with learning difficulties. This position is based in Melbourne VIC, and may require occasional interstate travel.

This position has the following requirements.

ABOUT YOU:

- Holding a Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Special Education.
- Having received formal training for supporting children with learning difficulties.
- Having at least 20 years of full-time working experience in the early childhood education sector or other education sectors, and in which over 3 years of experience at the management level.
- Having at least 10 years of full-time experience in Special Education.
- Having experience in Early Childhood Education is an advantage.
- Having experience in teacher/educator training
- Having experience in Designing Curriculum for children with learning difficulties.
- Holding core values of building and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with children, families and colleagues.
- Having a mindset of respect and appreciation for a strong team culture of working together.
- Having an open mind and belief to embrace new early childhood education concepts for a better future for children.

KEY DUTIES:

- Overseeing the daily operations of early childhood education centres.
- Overseeing the educational, administrative, and financial affairs of the educational programs for children with learning difficulties at our early childhood education centres.
- Providing educational leadership to the centre directors/managers, early childhood teachers, educators and administrative officials in the development and coordination of educational programs for children with learning difficulties.
- Studying, developing, implementing, and reviewing policies regarding Special Education
- Liaising between our early childhood education centres, parents, government, and the wider community
- Offering advice on policy and procedures to the management, centre staff and families
- Identifying and addressing the current and future needs of children, families and staff development.
- Researching and evaluating new developments of the Australian policy on Special Education.
- Developing and delivering workshops and training programs to the centre directors/managers, early childhood teachers and educators to deliver the educational programs with learning difficulties.

SALARY RANGE:
$100K - $115K per annum plus superannuation
