Depot Supervisor

Whether it be a small, medium or large size enterprise, we can turn your freight problems into solutions. **Overview of Role**: The Depot Supervisor / Lead will be responsible for the monitoring the day-to-day general depot operations, driving inwards and outwards goods towards deadlines as well as providing a high level of leadership to our employees. **Key Responsibilities**: - Manage and support small team to ensure they are meeting daily requirements - Assist team with issues as they arise and communicate accordingly - Process import and prepare export documentation - Update internal system and report daily activity - Co-ordinate shipment deliveries to meet client service agreements - Maintain shipment status information regarding planned delivery and actual delivery - Freight sorting of freight, mainly large and bulky items - Manual handling - General depot duties, assisting with additional tasks where required **Knowledge and Skills Required**: - Freight depot operations experience - Reliable and dependable - Exceptional attention to detail - Desire to work in a deadline driven environment - Supportive, hands on leader - Working with and navigating Depot Staff. - The ability to multi-task, adapt to the changing needs, and work within a team environment. - The ability to read, write and speak English proficiently. - Have sound knowledge of IT systems - Adhere to safe work practices and procedures. - Attention to detail and ability to complete set tasks. - Have a "Positive - Can Do" Attitude. - Be prepared to perform manual handling tasks - sorting freight, loading, and unloading trucks. - Having a forklift license is essential.
