We have an exciting opportunity for **Wellbeing Specialist** to provide services relating to mental health, psychosocial issues (including anger management), personal development, and career counselling for job seekers that will improve their work readiness and progress towards employment.

**About the role**:
This role requires you to provide individually tailored assessments (including mental health assessments), psychological interventions and counselling services to job seekers who experience non-vocational and vocational barriers that could impact on gaining employment. This will be done by providing high quality, evidence-based psychological interventions and health services to our clients who are referred to the service.

**In addition to this you will also be required to**:

- Provide services via telehealth or video counselling for our remote clients.
- Provide vocational guidance, skills training, including goal setting and problem solving.
- Engage in case conference with internal business units to ensure the continuation of care during the client’s engagement with the service.
- Provide advocacy and referral to external services.
- Provide support and assistance in organising job capacity assessments for job seekers with Centrelink.
- Provide telephone crisis assistance and post-placement support to clients who are employed but whose job is in jeopardy.

**Essential Criteria**:

- You have a relevant Allied Health degree (i.e., Psychology, Social Work, Counselling) and have a current and ongoing registration with the appropriate registration or association body (i.e., Ahpra, AASW, ACA, PACFA))
- You will have experience working across a diverse range of client issues, for example, mental health, psychosocial issues, drug and alcohol, personal development, and vocational assessments.
- You will have experience in delivering face-face, telephone and video conferencing l evidence-based assessments and psychological interventions, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy, solution-focused therapy for management of issues/barriers to help move our clients closer the labour market.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
- Ability to work within a diverse team environment and across various programs of support and ages (15-65 years of age).
- Ability to manage own client load, manage appointments and work independently.

**Desirable**:

- Experience within the employment services industry
- Experience in running groups
