Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for payroll? We are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our dynamic and supportive team Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our payroll processes run smoothly and accurately every fortnight.
- Manage end-to-end payroll for 7 companies, ensuring timely and accurate payments in line with all contracts and awards.
- Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, responding to payroll inquiries and providing guidance on payroll legislation.
- Handle monthly reporting, reconciliations, and payments for Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and Workers' Compensation. Assist with payroll audits and maintain leave entitlements.
- Maintain and update the Kronos HRIS/T&A system—Kronos knowledge is essential. Conduct quarterly system audits, including award interpretation and compliance.
- Process payroll for our New Zealand team, ensuring compliance with local legislation.
- Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new team members.
**Qualifications**
- 5+ years’ experience in a payroll role.
- Kronos/UKG Ready experience is a **must.**:
- Strong understanding of Retail or Restaurant awards (highly desirable).
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills.
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to adapt to new systems and processes, with a solid grasp of Cloud and Deputy systems.
