**About the role**

We are seeking two Supply Chain Managers; one to oversee operational supply chain activities in the West region, and another to oversee the North/Northeast region of Australia. Our Supply Chain Managers plays a pivotal role in Austal’s operations, ensuring and optimising the end-to-end supply chain processes for their designated region. These roles require a dynamic professional who can strategically manage procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier relationships, ensuring seamless production and delivery of world-class naval vessels.

**_Key objectives & responsibilities include:_**
- Lead a high performing team
- Manage and maintain procurement performance
- Manage warehousing and logistics operations
- Manage Bills of Materials (BOM) for projects
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiating terms, contracts, and agreements for allocated scope
- Identify and contribute to the implementation of automated systems and technologies
- Deliver business innovation to optimise and add value to operational process
- Ensure timely and accurate input of transactional data into supply chain systems
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
- Be the key point of contact for all supply chain issues within designated region
- Timely development and delivery of reporting information to respective stakeholders

**_Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:_**
- Tertiary level qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics or similar
- 10 + Years relevant inventory, warehousing and logistics experience within a ship building, engineering, manufacturing, or Defence organisation
- Working experience in a computerised ERP
- Strong leader and coach, with excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skills
