**About the Role**
Join the Mobile Learning Unit (MLU) at the University of Melbourne and take on a pivotal role as the Systems Team Lead This is a thrilling opportunity for an experienced IT Manager to lead the IT function within a uniquely positioned group that collaborates with top academic and research experts to create innovative online courses for health professionals. You will be at the forefront of eLearning design and development, contributing to a flexible program of professional education while ensuring the operational excellence of our cutting-edge systems infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software analyse development needs and provide recommendations for integration into current system.
- Maintain essential IT operations and infrastructure, ensuring smooth functioning of MLU systems.
- Lead and implement IT governance best practices, driving efficiency and effectiveness across all systems.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues, provide user support, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure data security and compliance with NIST framework, safeguarding MLU and partner information.
**Who We Are Looking For**
You are a relationship-oriented team player, aligning technical aspects with business goals effortlessly. You thrive on resolving technical challenges and sharing updates with end-users. Your sharp critical thinking and project management skills empower you to prioritize effectively and communicate ideas persuasively.
You will also have:
- A graduate qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering or relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education.
- Passionate about technology and staying updated on current and emerging trends.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, workflow implementation, and customization.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, user training, and resolving technical support issues.
