**About the role**:
An opportunity currently exists for a
**QA Supervisor** to join the QA team based in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne on a full time contract basis until February with an opportunity to extend.

Reporting to the QA Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to facilitate and drive the Quality department and oversee a team of Quality Officers to ensure customer requirements and expectations are met.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

- Coordinate the activities of the Quality Officers and act as point of contact for day-to-day quality issues
- Ensure all quality matters and tests are performed in accordance to the test methods provided by customers
- Ensure factory compliance to GMP & HACCP requirements
- Coordinate & help in managing customer complaints
- Investigate out of specification results, including packaging, raw materials, finished products or environmental results
- GMP monitoring of factory, warehouses and offices
- Coordinate & manage production checks within the factory
- Help Manage HACCP plan within operations
- Help Coordinate Pest control on site
- Assist the Quality Manager to carry out research and development work
- Conduct and participate in audits internally

**Skills & experience**:
To be successful for this role, you will possess the following:
Minimum Tertiary Qualification in Chemistry or Food

Demonstrated experience within a Food organisation in a related QA role

GFSI experience, BRC, SQF etc.

High-care, high-risk environment

Experience in internal audits and dealing with customer audits

Have the ability to manage a small team
