Hseq Advisor

Civil Infrastructure Group provides specialist construction services to the civil infrastructure industry in Victoria. In 4 years, CIG has established itself as an innovative and reliable competitor in the Victorian civil construction market.

We currently have a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced HSEQ Advisor.

This is a varied and busy role, reporting directly to CIG’s CEO and responsible for management of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality and Assurance systems across the organisation and our work sites.

The HSEQ role will develop, implement, assess and review health and safety management plans and strategies and deliver initiatives that improve safety outcomes in the workplace by implementing safe work practices, policies and procedures.

This position is also responsible for managing the compliance requirements related to the delivery, operations and maintenance of all current and future CIG projects.

The HSEQ role ensures the effective and efficient delivery of these services for CIG.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety (or another equivalent tertiary education);
- 5 or more years experience in managing health and safety functions in the civil construction industry;
- Has a full understanding of legal health and safety guidelines as well as experience working to ISO standards;
- Facilitates site audits, collated data and consequently produced reports to communicate findings to the appropriate persons;
- Is able to use a variety of computer software packages to a reasonable level;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent leadership and management skills;
- Ability to work as part of a team and motivate other team members to complete necessary tasks; and
- Willingness to respond promptly to any emergencies that may occur regarding work, health and safety.
