- We're searching for an Engineering Manager to join the Bitbucket Pipelines team. You'll be part of our growing Bitbucket Pipelines, one of the most loved areas of Bitbucket Cloud for its ease of use and power. Our mission is to empower teams to deliver software faster and with more confidence. In the coming year, we're looking to take Pipelines to the next level in terms of scalability and performance, building the features required to help our customers do CI/CD at scale. With DevOps becoming more and more a big pillar of modern software development practices, having a solid CI/CD platform is important for Bitbucket and Atlassian's success in IT teams.
- You'll be responsible for building a high-performing team, empowering them to achieve their goals, and putting those goals into broader context. Your greatest responsibility will be looking after the individuals reporting to you, coaching and supporting them in their professional development, unlocking their potential, and challenging them to step outside their comfort zone to grow and excel.

**What you'll do**:

- Lead a team of software engineers to design, develop and deliver high-quality features to customers
- Partner with product management and design to create a world class experience for Bitbucket Pipelines
- Mentor and support the career development of your team members
- Collaborate with other Engineering Managers and teams to ensure alignment and consistency across the organisation
- Communicate strategy, plans, and status at all levels of the Bitbucket Cloud organisation

**Your background**:

- 2+ years of experience leading and growing high-performing engineering teams
- Prior industry experience as a back-end engineer
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems, with hands-on experience in public cloud offerings (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Experience and passion with shipping customer-facing features
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical excellence, pushing innovation, quality, and operational excellence
- Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills
