**About Us**

Bloom Support Options was established in 2020 to provide targeted disability support to assist NDIS participants achieve their goals and reach their full potential. At Bloom we provide assistance with daily tasks, community access, mentoring and respite to clients with disabilities. Bloom specialises in getting clients involved in the community and engaged in group settings to help with the development of social skills and independence. At
Bloom we strive to be a disability support service that works holistically with families, carers and therapists to ensure our support is meeting the client’s needs and fostering growth and wellbeing.

**About the Role**

This is an opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive team orientated environment, with a commitment to ongoing training and development.
- Support Workers are directly responsible for the day-to-day support, and personal development of participants accessing services operated by Bloom Support Options.
- Support Workers ensure that they support participants to be at the centre of their decision making and enable them to achieve the desired outcomes of their plans, goals and aspirations in partnership with their families, carers and therapy team.
- Support Workers ensure that support is provided in accordance with the National Disability Services Standards and other relevant legislation and are active in advocating the rights of people with a disability.
- Support workers will encourage community involvement and focus on individual goals.
- Support workers will provide all types of disability support work which includes but is not limited to; in home care, personal care, community access, domestic tasks, households tasks, group work, overnight support and transport.
- Support workers will work in our Bloom Social Groups such as Sports, Cooking, Community and Gaming groups where they will work alongside multiple clients at once encouraging social, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

**To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes**:

- Fully vaccinated against Covid19
- Police clearance
- Working with children and vulnerable people clearance (DCSI)
- Mandatory notification training - Child Abuse training (Child Safe Environments)
- Minimum Certificate III in Individualised Support, Disability, Community Services (or equivalent)
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate (inc CPR)
- Manual Handling (Health Care)
- Flexibility and availability with working hours
- Happy to travel to and from clients
- Work to best practice Work Health & Safety Standards

**Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a group interview as part of the selection process.**

All Bloom Support Options employees are required to undertake mandatory training relevant to their role.
Support Workers are paid in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry
Award [MA000100] and Social and Community Services Award [AN150140] (SA)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $32.21 - $34.23 per hour
