Quiz Host

BrisQuiz is looking to expand its unique trivia format into new venues across Brisbane over the coming months. We are seeking skilled and dynamic trivia hosts to run weekly quiz nights at local pubs, clubs and breweries. Positions are available for casual hosting on an as-needed basis (eg, to cover for a regular host in the event of illness or holidays), and going forward, for permanent weekly hosting on weeknights. Hosting pub trivia may look easy, but it is a fine balancing act to ensure all players are engaged and having a good time, as well as helping the venues to run their trivia nights profitably. Upon completion of training, you will be responsible for maintaining relationships with your venue(s) and players - we want you to take ownership of your events and make them your own. Your regular players should see you as the star of the show and feel happy and at home in your care. **You might be the right person for us if you...** - Enjoy playing trivia events, or playing along at home with quiz shows - Have a passion for collecting interesting nuggets of knowledge - Are confident on a microphone - Have performance background or skills, and are not prone to stagefright - Are a quick thinker who is able to make a correct judgement in a short time, and is able to take unexpected hiccups in your stride - Have a sense of comfort with computers and cables - Can provide your own laptop with HDMI port and software capable of running a.pptx file Unlike many of the "big brand" trivia companies in Australia, we offer contracted employment at Award rates, with all of the legal benefits and allowances of being a full employee (that's right - other quiz hosts are underpaid and undervalued) We can mentor you to become a fantastic and successful quiz host.
