Chemical Worker

We’re looking for a **Chemical Operator **who will report to Operations Manager based in** **Tullamarine, Victoria.

You will perform QA tests for in-process production batches complying with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and procedures. You will also follow all prescribed operating and equipment handling procedures.

**Responsibilities**
- Pre-Batching - Preparing ingredients for blending and packaging (35%)
- Measuring - Measuring ingredient amounts into vats, vessels, or cans for blending (15%)
- Blending - Blending materials at the correct speed for an appropriate amount of time based on formulation. (15%)
- Evaluating - Evaluate the colour difference by visual and numerical values. (5%)
- Filling - Packaging the product based on internal and external requirements (15%)
- Cleaning - Cleaning all equipment used to process products and keep area neat. (10%)
- Documenting - Ensuring traceability and track measurements by recording information on work orders. (3%)
- Other tasks as assigned (2%)

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of one year of directly applicable experience.
- Use best practice philosophies to provide a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- You should use and wear all required PPE with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Basic understanding of statistical process control.
- Knowledge of colour formulation, correction and be able to visually evaluate colour difference.
- Paint manufacturing and colour matching experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Current forklift operator’s licence would an additional advantage but not mandatory.
