**About the Role**

We are looking for an enthusiastic Civil Infrastructure and Fire Systems Design Drafter with local and national project experience to join and contribute to our growing team in delivering a wide range of projects with and for our clients.

The role will require occasional travel to and from sites autonomously or with Alphazeta team members.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Carrying out tasks as required by your job position and as directed by management.
- Creation of BIM Models
- Creation and continual development of templates and families in Revit Software
- Drawing set up and background updates for new and current projects
- Management of drafting standards including organisation of drafting review checks with team members
- Provision of clash detection reviews and reports and management of clash rectification with team
- Manage and control the main company BIM templates and drafting standards
- Provide training and mentoring to junior staff on BIM
- Project inception reviews advising on BIM output and delivery to meet project scope and requirements
- Develop and implement new business processes to streamline daily operations
- Undertaking basic Fire Protection Services design and calculations for:

- Hydrant mains and coverage check
- Hose reel coverage checks
- Sprinkler spacings and layouts
- Wet and Dry Fire protection services
- Fire Water Tank Sizing calculations
- Fire Pump Calculations
- Fire Extinguisher design
- Communicate with Senior and Intermediate Fire Protection Services Engineers to interpret their high-level concept designs and reverse briefs
- Undertaking basic Civil Services Infrastructure design and calculations for:

- Site stormwater collection, disposal and sizing
- Site water mains distribution and sizing
- Site sewer collection, disposal and sizing
- Undertake coordination with external and internal design team members, built forms and ground types
- Interpreting local regulatory authorities DFES and Water Corporation of Western Australia requirements
- Undertake continuous learning and familiarisation with Australian Standards, National Construction Code etc. to assist with delivering quality outcomes to our clients in the form of detailed documentation and efficient technical solutions
- Contributing to delivery and development of documentation, processes and administrative functions
- Working with other team members and/or autonomously to provide deliverables and outcomes to meet project and company deadlines.
- Adhering to the Company’s policies, values and strategies.
- Prepare detailed wet fire protection drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Interpret and implement civil and fire system design requirements from engineering plans and specifications
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate fire systems into broader building services designs.
- Assist in preparing documentation for design certification and approval submissions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date drawing records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input where required

**Key Skills**

Essential:

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
- Proven ability to exercise initiative and judgement
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Degree qualified in Civil or Building Services Engineering

Desirable:

- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role within the Building Services Engineering sector
- 2+ years’ experience using BIM Software (Revit - highly desirable)

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
